Algae on our Acro?

I noticed this sort of brown algae growth on two branches of our acro. Is that what this is and if so what should we do?

P.S. Any idea if this acro has a name - just curious been calling it a pink acro ;)

2 pics with algae (sorry under blue light)
1 pic what it looks like under normal light (before algaeish stuff)

Thanks in advance!

from what I have experienced, algae wont grow on living tissue. I have had corals pick up some strands of algae as it is floating around in the water column. I would gently blow off the coral with a turkey baster and see if the algae comes off easily. If the tissue is dead you can get some algae growth on the dead part of the coral. Keep an eye on it and if the coral is healthy it will grow over the dead spot if you can keep the algae off the coral.
