Algae on seahorse

My seahorse seems to have purple Coraline algae on its back but swimming and eating fine has been there for approximate 3 months any suggestions I believe he is a cuda thanks

Pretty common on ones I've seen in the wild. They'll have algal extensions, etc. Some even collect detritus that the algae catch. It works in their favor the vast majority of the time by affording them some camouflage above and beyond their color-changing capabilities. I wouldn't think it is an issue, unless you see the seahorse being irritated/frustrated by it.
