Algae on the rocks...

I've been getting some algae on my rocks lately...not sure why.

What do your phosphates look like? Have you changed anything recently like salt, ro etc?

What do you have in there as far as a clean up crew??? Besides asterinas??? I'd say it likely has to do with the increased biological demands of your tank... You do have a few more fish in there than a couple months ago...

I was completely joking about the algae...and my phosphates are near zero.

I just thought it was funny to post a picture with two catalinas, Heff, and Jaws2 in the same photo but start the thread discussing algae.

Yeah Russell...tons of asterinas. I'm SUPER glad that Randy talked me out of that harlequin shrimp. I got one of those bumblebee shrimp that's supposed to also eat them but I have no idea if it's in there anymore. It was too small and clear to be easily seen even in my tank. I figure that I'll just feed everyone else's harlequins once they run out of asterinas.

Heff is a total stud. Hah hah.

Dana: not sure on jaws2...couple of months ago maybe.

Randy: yasa/randalls, 3 catalinas, fat neon goby, jaws2, heff, green banded goby, Patrick's linear blenny, some kind of pipefish that's blue/gold and is cute as a button. It's really not many fish considering that they're all minuscule.

Oh and my panda goby was apparently living in the tank just fine until the other day when I think I crushed him with my siphon during a water change. I was riiiiidiculously disappointed...still am, truth be told.
