Algae or Dino? (Pics)

Ive been battling this in my 65 gallon for months now...first it was classic green hair algae, then i started using AlgaeFix and doing massive water changes....removed all the rocks and scrubbed....Tank looked alot better for a week or so, now this has come back in force

It's not green though now, its brown and tan, looks straggly with pieces of debris stuck in it...but the other day I started noticing bubbles trapped in them, so I started thinking dino. Not exactly sure though.

What I'm doing now:

GFO/Carbon
2-20 gallon water changes
2-10 gallon water changes
scrubbing the rocks with a toothbrush
increased flow

Im about to give up, seriously....Ive had a pretty sucessful tank for 5 years and have had nothing but bad luck and money wasted for the last year

Here its cloggin up all my zoas, and they refuse to open. Don't mind the clown, the zoas never did.

had something similar i did
stopped water changes
used kalk to keep ph up high
used filter socks (changed daily)
skimmed wet
added sand to my sandbed
increased flow
added a uv sterilizer
it went away
what worked i dont have a clue
oh yeah once i noticed it stopped spreading i got a sea hare
he cleaned it up

Sea hares are the most effective biological algae control. They will help you. They do not seem dinos to me.

If algae fix killed your previous algae you could have a phosphate release which causes the new plague.
