algae overgrowth

Help!!! I am babysitting my son's 55 gallon saltwater tank for about 3 months. He had it about a year before I inherited it. I have been having a problem with algae growth. He has an anemone and a couple of coral. He has a clown fish, damsel fish, blennie, chromis, a sand sifting and tiger striped star fish, a sea cucumber, a crab, several hermit crabs, and several different kind of snails. When I check the chemicals everything comes out OK. Any suggestions on what I should do now. I've cleaned out the big filter and clean out the protein skimmer every 1-2 days. I have not done any major water changes yet, but I do have to replace about a gallon of water every 1-2 days due to evaporation. I am going to include a few pictures in case this may help.

Thank you to Michael and Toddrtrex for answering.

if you have algae then you have posphates, and or nitrates.

I can't see the pic. so hard to tell what your dealing with. but I suggest using rodi water for evap. water and also water changes.

less feeding

10-20% water changes weekly

add a phosphate reactor, and or a fuge with macro algae.

all of those things will help get rid of the algae.

The pic doesn't work for me.
What does the algae look like?
If you are new to fish?? you are most likely overfeeding (everyone does it).
I would cut back feedings, and use a turkey baster to blast off th rocks every day or two. Good luck.
