Hello all!

Im new to the forum and have a question about a problem I'm having.

I have attached the pics that I have. I'm trying to find out what these guys are and what my options are for getting rid of them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah....

Yeah....

Forgot to say that I'm concerned about the green plant like algae thing growing. Not so much the snail. But there are alot of those little snails as well.

Why is there a dead horse smiley? :deadhorse:

Those are aiptasia. Not algae, but an invasive species of anemone. I got rid of the couple that were on my rock by shooting them with a small syringe of boiling water. Some people use some stuff called Aiptasia-X. Others use peppermint shrimp. There seem to be lots of options, but the important thing to know is that they are a pest and you should get rid of them before they spread.

Those snails look to be collonista snails. They never get much bigger than that, feed themselves on your algae, and get into areas where other snails simply can't. Leave them alone, they're now part of your CUC.

And there is a dead horse icon because sometimes topics get beaten to death around here, thus the beating a dead horse icon.

Hmmm.....

Hmmm.....

Thanks for all of the replies. Until yesterday I had hundreds of these in the tank. i decided to scrub them off the rocks. As you can see there are a few left.
