I've got a couple of colonies of zoas that have some red slime algae on them and they are closing up as a result. Does anyone know how to remove the algae from them .
It will come back if you don't take care of the system.
Water chemistry, lights, water movement and excess of organics are some of the things to keep in mind. Could be a combination of factors.
You should be able to start the control with partial water changes using a good salt mix and RO/DI water.
There's no more slime but they are still closed almost 24 hours after I removed the algae with the paint brush , should I just wait another day and see what happens?
