Algae removal in a new tank?

I have a 100g tank that has just finished cycling or in the last stages, the diatoms bloom came and went and now my tank is covered in green algae it alarmist looks like lawn is growing, I have added a few snails (that are going crazy eating heaps) to help clean this up am I can see 1000s of what I believe are copepods feeding on it as well, now my question is can I scrape it off my glass? Or is that detrimental to the cycling process, or will it crash my levels this early on? I don't care that it doesn't look great we are still very early stages I just don't want to do the wrong thing

Yes you can certainly scrape it off. But more importantly, did you do a big water change at the end of your cycle? And by big, I mean like 80%...

Thanks for your replies I did do a big water change probably about 90% over all but not in one big change over about a week as I have an eel in there and didn't want to stress him out too much by changing everything at once, I hope that wasn't the wrong thing to do, should I do another massive water change (80%) before adding some fish?

I still have the eel in that tank MinnFish, he is doing well eating strong and comes out to say hello when I peer in the tank, If he wasn't in there I wouldn't be as worried about it crashing as nothing would be in danger which is why I am asking first, the clowns, cardinal and a coral beauty are in another tank one that has been set up for about 3 years and will eventually move over to the new tank but not until it is ready for fish and stable, I never would put the eel in there he was a hitch hiker I spoke to a lot of people and the consensus was to leave him be as moving him could stress him
