Hi, at the beggining of this year my tank began an algae bloom that has been nonstop, many rocks are covered with it, The main reason was probably due to the light bulbs were 1.5 years old, and needed a change but I didn't do so. Yesterday I finally changed the bulbs and I'm starting wondering if the algae will die by itself or will need manual removal.

All other levels are fine, no nitrates no phosphates no nothing so it was a light problem

assuming its hair algae or something you can grab, remove it by hand.

otherwise itll die off, decay, and release all the phosphate back into the water

The light does not cause algae, it is the nutrients, phosphates, in the water.

If all you are wanting to do is this, then manually remove it.
That, at least, exports nutrients from your system.
