algae

i have a brown algae that is taking over and dont know what it is or how to get rid of it

this algae is tree like and very short it grows in clusters and is very wavy it looks like dead brown tuble weed

there is a picture of it on pg. 29 of anthony calfo and rob fenners book caled reef inverts.



any ideas?

yes a purple and a bristletooth tomini

Well, not sure what kind of algae it is, i just looked a the book,but it seems like some sort of coral maybe, just give it time and let them grow out and see what it turns out to be.

is it aiptasia?

no lit looks like small birdnest type of algae or other thing.

no its definately not a coral and they have taken over and no not aptasia

they are as full grown as full grown gets
