Algae

Anyone have some tips on how to decrease the algae in my tank? It's by natural sunlight so I know it's not ideal but the snails just aren't keeping up on it as good as I'd like, other inverts or fish I should think of adding? Levels are good.

yes that natural light is going to make it worse.. got window blinds?

mexican turbo snails and urchins do good work on algae..

Something like a Mag-Float should make short work of any algae growing on the glass. Ultimately though your just going to have to keep things like Nitrates/Phosphates low and hopefully what your seeing will burn itself out over time. Keep an eye on your temperature too. Direct sunlight can heat up a tank in a hurry if your not careful.

How old is the tank btw?

Hmmm never heard of a mag float before, I'll look into it :)
Tank is 8 month old.

What snails do you have?

Imo the only snails that count for hair or turf algae are turbo snails.
