algae

my tank has been set up for 4 weeks and I need some help. I am starting to get some algae, big time. I have brown hair algae, a red fuzzy algae (looks like FW brush algae only red), and some green algae on the glass. I have 2 turbo snails and 2 bumble bee snails and plan to get hermits, and an emrald crab, and maybe a small serpent/ brittle star to eat it. Will this be enough? Dam me using tap water to fill it up. ;)

I started my 20G on last Christmas with tap water and got series algae problem. Around Feb, I started it again with RO/DI water with little problem only.

IMO. Don't let emrald crab into my tank. It may kill other livestock.

you need to start doing water changes with ro/di water salt mix until your phosphate, nitrate etc which have to be high go down.

An algae bloom is normal in any new tank but should be worse in yours since you used tap water. Just focus on lowering your nutrients and ride it out. Periodic 20% water changes with RO or RO/DI water, reduce your feeding (if you have any livestock anyways) and run some phosphate remover.
