Alge like crazy

I've got an alge problem right now. I bought more snails and even they have stoped trying to keep up. I've tried one additive that was organic to try and kill off some of the alge but it didn't work. I have coral and inverts. in my take so I can't use anything too extream. Any help would be great!!!

We're going to need some more info in order to help. Tank description, livestock, feeding, filtration, what do you use for top off water and mixing salt, tank parameters ( the things you test for ), and lighting? Some pictures would be very helpful as well.

Algae problem? That's crazy talk!

Algae is a wonderful addition to any tank. It sucks up NO3, PO4 and some heavy minerals.
What more could you want from a saltwater organism?

Granted, there are some who think that algae should be banished to the sump. But, those people live on other forums.

I find there are some algae that are more desirable than others. If I make conditions acceptable for the ones I like, the less desirable ones are easily outcompeted and removed by snails and hermits. The desirable algae uses the nutrients that promote the undesirable ones, making it easy to control algae with scissors.
