So I'm new to the hobby setting up a 120 gallon tank and I'm trying to buy used rock cuz prices are crazy for rock.I found some one selling 50 pounds cheap but it looks like theres alot of alge on it I don't care if I need to soak it on acid if I need to.Will that get rid of anything that I might not want on new tank like pests, alge or something worse please help.....

Agree. An acid bath should do the trick for killing anything on it.

That said, almost every tank goes through the ugly stages of nuisance algaes, so you may still get algae and other stuff just from the natural progression of your own tank, but you would be safe to say it didn’t come from that rock.

I would use pure bleach first. No scents or thickener. This will oxidize any organics like algae.
Acid bath will dissolve calcium carbonate.
Then do a short term acid batch with citric acid or vinegar.
Leaving rock in a acid bath to long can soften the rock too so be careful.
