i am wondering if you could help identify the pine tree looking algea that is sort of bushy that is spreading through my tank? i have a rabbitfish and lawnmower blenny that will eat a little bit of it but not enough to make a impact on its growth! i have changed my bulbs from a 10k to a 14k and it seemed to help a little bit, but not enough from its continuous growth. i am just wondering the kind of algea and the quickest way to get rid of it? any info would be a ton of help!
thanks!

Without clearer pics this is going to be very hard but... judging from size, coloration and the description as a pine tree.. it just might be Caulerpa verticillata. Any chance of a clearer shot?

From the size of the pics I think Samala got it right, C. verticillata, oh and Samala if you need some let me know, it is kinda moody though so I'm not sure how well it will ship ;)

I found that on my computer. If it is verticillata the only thing that I've found that will eat it was a Foxface. As I mentioned it is pretty moody, sensitive. It doesn't compete well with other algaes. I have it on a system with Chaeto, C.mexicana, and another Caulerpa that I can't remember the name of, when nutrients get low, it's the first to start showing distress.

Does anyone have anymore to add to this. I have been battling this algae for over 3 years and I am about to take down my whole setup and start over becasue I have found nothing that eats it and no way to get rid of it. I will continue to search for someone that has had success with getting rid of it.

I read somewhere that someone cooked their live rocks for 6 months and it still came back.

Any one that has battled and WON PLEASE HELP!
