algea woes

My tank is a 125 and has been up for about 9mo now.

I have had algae outbreaks before come and go but this time I am having a bigger issue. It is some kind of green algae that looks like a velvet sheet over the rocks. Grows real fast and isn't attached to the rocks well, ie a turkey baster blows it off real easy.

I feed daily but don't over feed and do a 15gal a week water change.

Not sure what to do to try and control this algae, any suggestions.

GFO, cut back on food (regardless of how much), and siphon out AS MUCH AS U CAN. If that doesn't help, consider a 2 day dark period
