Alignment Help

Hi all, I purchased a used MP40 a few months ago and really love it. It's an older model, with the non ecosmart controller. I've noticed it getting more and more difficult to align the 2 sides, and tonight when I took it out to clean it, I spent 3 hours trying to get it lined back up. It still isn't perfect, and as it ramps up and down, makes a annoying clicking like sound. Is there a trick to lining it up that I don't know? Or would a replacement wet side fix this?

Jeff,

Before purchasing a new wetside, I would recommend checking to see if any parts are worn out the wetside and replacing those components.
