Need some advice
things were going great did not test paramaters in a one month. Noticed one of my coral had burnt tips. Tested Alk and found that my ALK increased to 10. I was previously at 7.8 about a month ago. My calcium is also on high side at 510. I want my alk to be around 7.8

I have been doing water changes weekly 30 gallon weekly change on 500 gallon system

I dont get what caused the Alk swing.

Should i shut my calcium reactor off for a few days to see what happens?

no doubt turn off co2, keep water running as not to let media go anaerobic also cut down the co 2 after tank is back to normal parameters, as to slow the output to equal your tanks demand. Or take some of the ca media out to equal the demand of your tank.

10 is not crazy high, it should go down on its own in a few days.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks Toothman
so just shut the valve on CO2 so that no bubbles are coming into the bubble counter
