ALK is high

alkilinity is way to high, 8.1 pH @ 8.1 does anyone have the baking soda reference available? 2x's dKH buffer 2 days to no avail, ready to experiment with soda. thanks, in advance. REEF-ON!!!

im not really getting the question but if you alk is already high why are you adding a dKH buffer? 8.1pH is good, so how high is the alk level?

I'm with paintbug. What are you asking? pH is not alkalinity -- they are two different things. A pH of 8.1 is just fine. Don't do anything drastic with your tank or you'll likely cause a lot of damage. What are you using to measure your alkalinity?
