If you want to use vinegar in the limewater, yes that is a fine amount to add. Add the water first, then lime and vinegar in any order, then stir.

Good news, my ph is now 8.2 during the day....and no nitrates, no nitrites, no amonia!!!! My alk is still a little low but coming up..calcium 390. Thankyou all who helped me I have definitly learned a lot in the last 3 days!!! Tina
