For all the chemistry buffs. Why is there such a large window when it comes to Alk? It can range from 7dkh to 12dkh and still be in the "normal" range. Why would I want to run mine at 7dkh and why at 12dkh? What affect would it have on the same tank if it ran at 7 and if it ran at 12? Just wondering.
