I am making an order tonight and I am buying all ELOS test kits except for the Alkalinity. The online venue I am using doesnt carry that one ELOS test kit. Should I buy a Red Sea or a LaMotte ?

P.S. I am buying the ELOS Calcium, Phosphate, and Nitrate kits. I was told those are the main ones I need.

Oh and back on my post about Aiptaisa killers, I am going with Joes Juice... Thanks guys.

I wouldn't do a phosphate test instead get a PH, Mag or even Ammonia. If you have phosphates it usually reads zero any ways because they are being eaten up as soon as they are produced.

Maybe someone else can chime in about this but I can have a big out break and still have zero.

I've heard the same. I guess test the new water not the used in tank water. I agree with the mag test, since you will be testing your alk and calcium, you will need to know the mag level to maximize your calcium usage. ???????

i would try to get an elos alk kit it is real easy to use phishy business sells all of them i just switched to all elos and there all great and user friendly

I have PH and Ammonia tests from API.. Rumor has it they are sh**. Perhaps I will buy a PH and a Mag also. I only keep softies and fish, so are all of these test still needed before I check out?
