Something to keep in mind. I like to think of the wild reefs as well managed, but I know that is not always the case. As a hobbyist, I want a good, affordable selection of livestock, but not at the expense of a reef. I hope that clear minds will reach a compromise that will allow me to continue my love of marine aquariums, but insure that the natural reef systems are protected.

good stuff. i will ask where do you stand, as there ought to be some compromise from each end.

Hopefully, as breeders find ways to provide more species of livestock, we'll put less and less stress on the reefs. However, I would give up the hobby if it meant protecting wild reefs.

definitely would not like it to get to that level. been in this hobby for a year and i luv it.
