well i recently moved to a new place and had to take the tank with me so i put everything in trashcans and threw them in a truck and rushed over to my new house. i had the tank all set up and waiting half filled with rodi water. i added the live rock first then corals and then fish. the fish are doing great but all anemones and softies are bleaching. oh yea forgot to mention i had to use tap water to fill the rest of the tank cause there wasent enough water in the trash cans to fill the rest of the way up. ive always used tap water at my other place tho and never had a problem. what should i do?

I moved an SPS tank from Charleston, WV to Marion, OH in sub-zero weather. Lost nothing. What worked for me is I had another tank that I was tearing down and I combined the two tanks and no new water. I also moved everything in 5 gal drywall buckets w/ lids with heatpacks. That is how I did it.

If your anemones will accept food, keep feeding them until their color starts to come back (depending on what you have, most anems need to be fed anyway). When you do turn the tank lights back on, place the corals out of direct light so they don't become further stressed.
