Very helpful info Chris! Some people have had the exact problems I am having with T5's. My 14" deep 30 gallon with a 4" sand bed has my corals very close to my 4-39watt T5's. What seems to have helped with the other posters is limiting the photo period and higher spectrum bulbs. These T5's amaze me. When my tank was setup a few years ago I had a 250 watt metal halide pendant over it. I installed this T5 fixture and visually it looks like less light than my metal halide was, but everything I put under it acts like it is getting to much light. I feel like I have a good idea of what is going on with my tank and will start making some corrections. Thanks guys!!!
