We want to keep this hobby going , and HAVE FUN DOING IT .

Not a reef owner (as of yet) but I have a FOWLR that is now about 6 weeks old. 135+ gal (Tall) with 25 gal sump and some home made rock. I have just moved my Clown and Royal Gramma into it after adding a CUC. I guess I just make it in your area as I am located in Holiday. Looking to meet others in the hobby.

kspops < Welcome to ANCHOR , we have other members that live down your way . I would like to get a meeting set up for this month . Keep checking checking the ANCHOR Forum , for a date . Feel free to post in the forum , and ask questions .

Looking forward to meeting you . Ted

Ted,
I am still here and watching...I have been quiet...super busy at work. Have 2 Tanks up now, got my 210 running for about 3 months now, still not much in it but Live Rock and getting some good Coraline growth. Have 1 Cardinal and 1 Goby and a ton of CUC. Then there is my wifes 75 Gallon Damsil Tank...she loves the Damsils...that's been running for about 1.5 months.

Taking my time on the 210 not rushing anything. If anyone ever needs help or anything let me know, Also i work in Largo and Live in NPR (Close to Hudson) and can help if any purchases need to be picked up etc.

Stephen , I'm glad to hear you got your 210 up , and running . I am also glad you are taking your time stocking your tank , I know how hard that can be . That's great your wife has a tank as well . I have been working on my wife to set up a tank , but it is not going to well , but I'll keep trying . Thank you very much for your offer to help , and I am looking forward to meeting you . Ted

Ted, we met at the conference and at the FAOIS BBQ. I'm over here at 54 and 41 near Land O' Lakes. We've got a 90 gallon with a Hippo tang, Royal Gramma, Neon Goby, Green Mandarin, Purple Firefish, and Green Banded Goby plus tons of shrimp and a few crabs/snails, Macroalgae, a few zoas, 2 different types of leathers, some Kenya tres, and anthelia. We also have another 90 with a Yellow tang, Coral Beauty, Flame Angel, Toby Puffer, and some crabs/snails. I am thinking of getting down to one tank though. I would love to come out for a meeting but we're spread kind of thin for time right now and alot of times I don't even make it to the TBRC meetings because they're on Saturdays at 6pm when we're usually doing other things.

Laura , I remember you . Thank you for replying to my thread . Sounds like you have a lot going on in your tanks . Sue , and Russ live down by you , and they have been to several of our meetings . They are always willing to give us a helping hand , with ANCHOR . I hope to see you at one of our meetings some time . Ted

I'm glad you posted this Ted, it's good to see who all lives up this way since alot of the TBRC members live South. Oh yeah I forgot to mention all the hair algae in one of the tanks right now, lol. Sue and Russ live within 5 minutes of me, we usually carpool to John's. Sue and Russ are always willing to help anyone and I am honored to call them good friends. There are a few more reefers living over in this area as well. I will try to make a meeting sometime, just depends on timing. Also, if anybody needs anything let me know.

I just noticed this post will give info when I have a chance
. I would like to try to make a meting and see whats going on.Thanks!

Robert , Welcome to ANCHOR . looking forward to meeting you . If you can please let others know about ANCHOR .

Thank you , for checking us out . Ted

Laura,

Sounds like you need an urchin to mow the lawn in one of your tanks. I couldn't remember if you ever tried one. If you want, we will be diving again either this weekend or next and I can try and find a small one for you.

Are all the peppermints still doing ok?

Ted - sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread.

Jim

Jim, I've got one but he prefers corralline I think and the hair algae is just too much for him since I've been kind of lax with maintenance lately, lol. Thanks for the offer though. The peppermints are still doing great - spawning all the time.
