Allens damselfish

I am impressed with these fish when I have seen them at the LFS, but I have never seen them in someones tank. I am thinking of adding this fish to my 240 reef, perhaps in a group.

Do they do well in groups? I have seen them at LFS in groups and they seem content.

What do you think of this fish?

Tankmates are a yellow tang, 2 ocellaris clowns, and a moorish idol. I don't plan many more fish--perhaps a Potters angel or regal angel, flame hawk, and redlip blenny.

I like these fish. From what I understand they are supposed to be more docile than other damsels. I was thinking of doing a small group (3-5) of these or blue reef chromis. I haven't seen any in anyones tanks though.

These are among the most beautiful damsels IMO. They are peaceful and get along well with other fish. I have kept them in groups and they each stake out a territory and chase each other out of their territories but no damage is done. The only negative IME is that they need a low stress environment and excellent water conditions to show their best color. If conditions are not to their liking, they display dull colors.
