What is the operating depth (RANGE) of skimmer and true foot print or smallest configuration?

Hi,

I think that the best range is between 8" and 9" on the 170. How much overall area do you have to work with and I'll play around with the 170, turning it, etc.. to see if it would work.

Skimmer Sump area is 10 x 13 with a 4x4 area used for filter sock for drain lines.
