Alternatives to That Fish Place

all my fish have been from TFP, and only three have croaked. a yellow watchman goby, a sunburst antheas, and a diamond goby (that actually lived for almost a year). most of my coral is from there too. I've had a couple of wrasses jump, but that was my fault. Never done any quarantine, very nominal problems. I used to work there, so I get the inside scoop when I go in to buy stuff.
All of the tags of the fish in the store have dates of when the fish came in. If a fish looks healthy and has been there for a couple days then it's probably not a bad buy.

I wonder if there is some kind of weird parasite in the tank? maybe take all the fish out and run the tank a little hot for a month and a half?

Most of my fish lived from there its the corals and clams that bother me most clams ive noticed there are PMing and the corals are either covered in algea or are dieing in some ways. Now im only tring to get sps, and clams but not sure if im going to buy anymore from them. The last montis i bought i dipped them and they are full of Monti eating nudies, and the acros had red bugs. So that tells me the there tank is full of them, so just a warning for anyone who buys sps there in that tank make sure to dip your corals. Theres a place in reading pa thats ok called AZ pets and ponds they are a hit or miss store but ive got some nice fish from there. I just got back from OC Maryland before i left i stoped at Pacific East Aquaculture, and that was the nicest store/setup ive ever been to, all there tanks were stopless no algea, everyone was very helpfull all corals were so colorfull and great. Just wish they were closer.

Hey guys.... I was looking for an alternative to TFP as well. Last night I ventured up to Treasures under the Sea. I was impressed as well. Trish and her husband Mark were both very helpful and answered any questions. I even think she has my wife talked into setting up a Seahorse tank. Anyway, I am not sure it was mentioned but they are a saltwater only shop. Go visit them if you get a chance. I did not buy anything because I am looking for specifics but everything looked healthy.

how far away is treasures under the sea from TFP? I have to drive almost an hour to get to there, is it even further? Can someone PM me with an address?

Its at least 1/2 hour or so north of york. It depends on where you are in Lancaster Co.. Hope that helps
