Alveopora Hiding

I have an alveopora coral that has now gone into hiding for 2 days now. Don't know why. Parameters are good. Nothing has really changed except I moved some power heads. My numbers right now are:

Temp=78-81
Salinity = 1.025
PH 8.4
Alk 9dkh
CA=460
Ammonia=0
Nitrites=0
Nitrates=5
Phosphates=0

I did get a little cyano outbreak for the past 2 weeks or so but I've been suctioning out, Feed fish every other day now instead of every day. I had a canister that I just removed today because I think it is my source of nitrate. Will be adding chaeto in a few days. Replaced all media with new Chemi-pure elite and purigen today too in my back basket to see if it helps.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I know alveopora and goniopora like nice flow areas. At least mine do. I would definitely say that the movement of the powerheads is causing it to hide out.

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I thought Alveopora needed low flow and I moved the pumps to keep them from bending over so much. Sometimes stalks look like they are bending in half sometimes. :confused:

I didn't mean blast it, sorry for the confusion. Put it in a spot where it gets a good amount of flow or "moderate" flow. Don't move it around too much just once every couple days don't want to stress it out.

Thanks XDanny..........Got my new Maxijet 1200 pumps and replaced both stock pumps and the coral is actually coming out again. It's about 50-60% out so far but much better than the last few days when it was completely hiding. Forgot to mention that one stock accela pump went out on me and I placed a powerhead in its place for flow. Guess it didn't like that. Thanks for your help.
