Alveopora pics

After purchasing this a friend told me they slowly die off. Mine looks great so far though - hoping it will be an exception. Anyone else have this coral?

goniapora, which look very similar but have 24 rays where your alveopora has 12 are much harder to keep. Alveopora, as far as I know, generally do well in aquariums, and I actually saw one the other day that was a good foot or more across that was originally purchased as a frag.

Awesome alveopora - they can benefit from spot feedings of cyclopeez or smaller sized foods (phyto maybe or some coral vibrance type stuff)

How the heck do you keep your glass clean? I think the tank looks awesome but I'm not sure how you do it!

Thanks! I just use a mag-float - I guess it doesn't hurt that this is a relatively new setup so the algae hasn't had much time to grow.

i had a good size piece and it was doing great for a while and it did slowly decline for no obvious reason. it was in a established tank that had prpoer perams light and flow for this coral and i eventually lost it. just my experience
