My Alveopora gets pretty big as the day goes on , and it will touch the Deresa clam that I just got , will this be ok, or will the coral sting the clam?

I doubt the coral will actually sting the clam, but two things will likely happen: 1. The coral will end up blocking some of the clam's light and 2. It is a Derasa - if all conditions are right, that puppy will grow large pretty quickly. You'll likely end up rearranging things fairly soon!

Lovely tank BTW!

My alveopora touches my crocea clam when fully extended and it's been 5 months now without any ill effects...knock on wood

That is a stunning display you have there and im sure you will get great growth out of the Deresa but I cant help noticing that the Favites next to it is being over lighted by the way the brown rims around the green centers have turned to light grey . If it were mine I think I would move it to a more shaded area of the tank . Please dont think I am criticising your fine display or your reef keeping abilities just that I have had the same coral do the same thing in the past and IMO look better under slightly less light .:)

Thanks mad
Your right, The purple around the green is faded from the light, I do not really ahve a shaded spot to move it to thow, I have moved it once to try to help, but I just dont have a good less light area on the sand bed. Thansk for noticing.
