amino acids

IYE/IYO what's the best amino acid u have used.
if u have used 1 VS another why to u prefer that one?

Zeo you only use a couple of drops, saw the difference right away and it last forever.

i am using bightwell aquatics and i can't say i see any difference and i have been dosing aminos for about 1 month.

im guessing you mean zeovit?? right?

if so, do you only use the amino acid one or their whole 10000 bottle dosing system?

i say that because other zeo tanks ive seen use like 50 of their products, and i think that is a waste, but if you got good results with just the amino acid one, id be more inclined to get it

I would suggest Ultralith over Zeo, as it looked more simple when I was looking to do it, and it was less expensive and less time consuming with less additives. Either way you've got to use their proprietary "zeolith" rocks in a chamber, and you'll have to dose either Amino Acids or bacteria food or something to get it working. So if you are seriously considering it, you'll need more equipment and to dose consistently into your tank. As long as you're okay with that, then you're good to go, just pick a system. I would strongly urge you to look into ultralith.

don't want to use zeovit cuz all the tanks i've seen look pastelish. i don't like that pastel look.

i'll look into ultralith.

i also noticed fragfarmer has amino acids on the site but didn't notice which it was.

I use salifert's amino-acids, I can see differences in the polyp extension and definitely the color of the corals have deepen, On the negative side, I also see an increase of algae on the glass every time I dose it.
I plan to dose it on a regular basis in the near future.

are you guys using the amino without the rest of the zeovit products?

I'm curious as to which zeovit products would be benificial to my tank without adopting that whole system.

I use the basic 4 plus 1 extra
1. Zeolith rock on a reactor (very slow flow)
2. Zeobak (twice a week)
3. Zeofoor7 (twice a week)
4. Zeo start (Daily)
5. amino acids (daily)
right now I am using Warren Marine Reef Pure but had better results with the Zeo dosing only drops. They have a lot of products to manipulate the colors if you want that pastel look but I am not interested.

Steve to start the basic 4 plus shipping is about $100 and have Manny build you a simple reactor for Zeo, he knows is very simple you can even DYI out of pvc. The products are small but in my case I add 4 drops twice a week of some and 2 ml daily of the others, you do have to dose more often the first two to three weeks.
