At 2ppm a 50% change will put you at 1 (still a problem)...another 50% change will put you at .5ppm....(right at the trigger level).. Another 50% to .25ppm...

I did all this it helped.. wonder how long typically it would take for 2 anthias in a 20 gal to cause another ammonia issue? 1 wk? i don't mind doing 10 gal weekly changes going forward but I aint doin em every other day...
I have never cycled a qt but I do 25-30% water changes every other day when I have one set up. I also use Prime but would not rely solely on that.
It's definitely a PITA but it gives me a little piece of mind before adding to my DT.
