I keep lights on 10 hrs a day feed a pinch flake food daily 20% water change every saturday 25 gal tank have live rock and sand what causes this ? going to do 5 gal change .
How much LR is in the tank? How many fish do you have in the tank? If you are seeing ammonia in the tank then your tank isn't able to keep up with the bio load. Usually this means you have too many fish in there or you don't have enough LR to support bacteria.
