I would think there'd be predation on the copepodites for sure. Depends on species mix, but any commercial growing of them, is a mono culture for a reason

That is not to say their isn't predation, but rather, they're surviving the predation in a larger system. Small culturing systems have a much high occurance of predation, exspecially in co-cultures.
