Amyl treated with hydroxicloroquine sulphate?

So I wanted to share how we have proceeded in treating amyloodinium:

My husband and I have a pair of percula who got sick. We belive it to be amyloodinium.

We first treated them with copper and although they didnt appear to get worse, after 5 days they didnt seem to get better.

They where completely covered with the white velvety thing. I read in an article that malaria medication chloroquine diphosphate works in some cases in a 10 day treatment so we went on in the quest of finding this medication.

We went to our local drug store and found a similar medicine called hidroxicloroquine sulphate (farmacist said it was the same family but without the side effects). We decided to apply this in the same dosis (5-10 mg/L for 10 days) and see what happens. (we didnt remove the copper by the way)

Today, (about 12hrs after applying the medicine) I am happy to say that the fish look much better. The white thing covering their bodies appears to be gone. They are swimming about instead of being at the bottom or at the top in a corner of the tank, and the larger one ate. Though they still breath rapidly and they cough every once in a while.

I will check on them tonight when I get home.
