what do you think can I get away with an anemone in my 24 gallon aquapod? any suggestions on one my clown would like and that wont grow to big ?

You could go with a bta or lta. Most other anemones would outgrow the system and you would have to have a larger tank setup several months before so you could place the anemone in a stable upgrade. You could get a small anemone (Heteractis spp., Stichodactyla spp.) but like I said you would probably have to set up a larger tank right now or very near future so that it would be ready by the time the anemone outgrows the 24 gallon.

I wouldnt do it. A 24g is just too small. Why dont you get a nice hammer, frogspawn, or torch coral instead. My clowns love my frogspawn, and hammer corals!!

I have seen quite a few people pull off an anemone in a small tank....requires you to be on top of your game but doable.

I have 2 24 gal APs in one of them there is a BTA that is almost been in there a year and the other one has a sebae anemone, both are very happy and colorfull or coloring up (sebae was slightly bleached when I bought it) as Eklikewhoa said you do need to be at the top of your game and keep on eye on your params

i have a 10 gallon reef set up with a gbta and A. Ocellaris thats hosted in it. Tha bta is doing great. When i bought it, it wasnt doing so great but its opened up and has really nice color now. both the clown and the bta are very happy. It stayed right in the spot i put it in and hasnt moved. water changes every week are a must though. topping off daily also a must. it really isnt as hard as it sounds though, and its deff. worth it.

I keep several bta's in a 20 gallon and they are just fine.. Just have to be carefull. Bta's wander from time to time and if power heads are used they will find it in a small tank. I would make sure the tank has a skimmer to keep water quality up.

Lance M. that is crazy. Usually not good to mix anemones and to have them mixed in a smaller tanks is pushing it.

It's real simple. Weekly pwc. They are fairly small. Both btas are <5 inches in diameter and the lta is just now 2 inches in diameter.

How would you move a LTA to a bigger tank when ever it got too big for the 24 gallon? How would you get its foot to let go of the bottom of the tank? I read about people moving BTAs all the time, but no one seems to write about how they move their lta.

If it's attached to the bottom you would just have to peel it off the glass very slowly and carefully, like they do when you buy them at the lfs.
