an updated white shroom pic.

Thank you....I am sorry if I got defensive, but your right my family's creditability is on the line...Also, this is why I have not even said which facility it is that they own.I am sure most of you have purchased stuff from them...Anyway.back to the shrooms.....The white one in the picture and all of the others including the yellow and white ones are all Actinodiscus sp. of some sort.....

I am not flaming him if any of that was directed towards me or not.

I am simply stating that I doubt they are "White" mushrooms.

All the pics that are provided are horrible at best, about on par with Nessie and Bigfoot really. I can't tell if they are Discosoma, Rhodactis, or Ricordea

I gave my reasoning why they probably were not white shrooms.
I have not yet posted something irrational or untruthful.

Very few things are rare, these in my opinion being not real or a very unlikely anomaly.

I will keep my eyes out for white carribean mushrooms.

Also, FWIW, some people/cameras are awful at taking pictures>_> Most of mine turn out blurry, no matter what I do. Not really a "bigfoot" thing with me, I know what my pics are of, I just can't take them well.

maybe i can help with the camera. Instead of holding the camera while taking pics , try propping it on a bar stool or something steady (if you don't have a tripod). the pictures will not come out blurry unless the mushrooms are moving. If the camera will not focus then you are too close. Make sure there is lots of light in the room as well as in the tank. I of course don't know what type of camera it is but my pics used to come out blurry because my hands aren't steady. (that's why i got a new camera with adjustable shudder speed priority)

here ya go let me grow....some clear pics

Here are some pics of three different mushrooms...I transplant each one to there location..There is also a small pic of 1 red shroom and 4 white shrooms under the atinics..

thats a ric, but pretty cool anyway. i have had many shrooms that didnt make babies after a few months, so i dont think thats a guaranteed thing, but i think that its pretty awesome, and it looks to me like it has a slight yellow tint, seems like that could be the zooxanthelae

Bottom Left of this picture is the white Ricordea I used to have. I have better pictures on an old computer I will try to get up.

So what happened to those rics?
And, why are they so much smaller than the other ones?

God you people just don't beleive do you....Fine, I will just update again in a couple of months and you can see...Happy holidays my good arguing buddies....

here was mine, and it was as big as a silver dollar, it stayed this color for 6 months, yes it is dead, but so is 80% of everything in that tank because of a 3000 mile move that didnt go so well....it was very healthy....so poo

See, now that one actually looks healthy.
Compared to the one I posted, which is bleached, and this one:

which is also bleached, sad to say. Notice that the above ricordia are way smaller than their neighbours and otherwise shrivelled up and generally unhealthy looking?

It's not a matter of "arguing" or trying to put people down, far from. I just think that people are getting duped into spending money on corals that are not 100%. Just because a ric is bleached doesn't mean it's doomed, BUT it certainly shouldn't fetch a higher price because of it's "rare" colour.

About the "white" mushrooms, I'm not convinced either way but I think it's interesting that the original poster has to keep coming back and getting so defensive about the things.

The more pictures people post on these message boards, the more PMs they get asking for frags. It's basic viral marketing, take a look at the micro and acan threads in the LPS forum, those guys with the nicest pieces are also dealers .. go figure.
