I had a clam die a couple weeks ago and I wanted to as a question. For a couple days before I noticed it was dead a condy anemone had been sitting on top of it. The clam was closed but I assumed the anemone would walk of and that there wouldn't be a problem.
Do you think it's likly that the presence of the anenome for a day or two on the clam killed it? Or do you think the anemone was only there because the clam was on it's way out?
The foot of the anemone was sitting on the shell, I didn't notice the clam getting stung or anything, and the clam was mostly closed at this time but not 100% closed.
