anemone and flow in 20gal

I've had my tank set up for a while and just installed a new powerhead (maxijet 1200) My concern is my anemone... it is staying planted but is flailing around like crazy. I've placed it into a new area where the flow isn't as intense but still appears to be a little much. Any suggestions? or should I just leave it alone?

I have a 20 gallon high

I would aim it directly across the tank (example left to right) and put it on a wavemaker power-strip with a 20 sec interval.

I'm sorry, my idiot self thought it was something that made waves in your tank... so stupid now that I think about it. With this, would it be better for dead spots or worst.

Also, if I couldn't afford another piece for my tank at the moment... should I take the anemone out or will it be okay with the increased flow?

I also found out what scwd means... what a rookie... sorry about the novice ingorance!!

thanks again!

The anemone should be fine providing you don't put it in a direct stream.
For now try and bounce the directed flow off the glass to lessen the impact and redistribute the width of flow.
An example would be:
Powerhead is in the left back corner; aim it toward the front right corner.

The on-off action of the wavemaker creates an oscillating effect so that the current constantly changes throughout the tank eliminating dead spots.

Awesome... thanks a lot!

I have it in the back corner facing the front middle of the tank, it seemed to reach all areas of the tank better I guess.. should I change it to point towards the opposite front corner or point it directly towards my rocks??

Thanks so much for your attention and help

definitely... I have so many things that I'm saving up for right now, we'll see when I get to them all!

Is there a tell-tell way to see if your flow is adequate throughout the tank?

Thanks again!
