I have a Haitian Condylactis Anemone that I purchased from PetCo about a month and a half ago. I have him housed in a 5 gallon along with a hermit crab and a coral banded shrimp. They had all been living happily the entire time, and all of a sudden, I look and the bottom of the anemone was "eaten" off. It appears that the anemone is still moving, I have him isolated in a 2liter coke bottle with the top removed, floating in the tank. I am wondering if there is anything i can do to help him heal. I can tell he is moving because there is no water flow in the bottle, so he is obviously moving his tentacles. http://imgur.com/nYbz5 This is a picture of the damage, it was the best I could get.
