Anemone Bleaching????

I have a long tentacle sebae anemone that used to be flesh colour
IT is turning white under my new T5 lighting...

Will this hurt the animal? Is there a chance it used to be white?

I have never had this happen....

It still looks healthy...

Your comments/input welcome please

Thanks
Tim

I'm guessing it's the new T5. If you significantly increased the intensity of the lighting the anemone will have exported its zoothanthellae in response. Lighting has to be ramped up.

Anemone Bleaching????

Does that harm the animal Djryan when it loses its zoothanthellae?

Yes. It can (typically) recover though. Unfortunately, I'm not the best member on RC to describe how to save a bleached nem. Hopefully a more experienced member will see and help you out

I would some how shade the anemone if you can move it lower to the portion of tank and let it slowly acclimate to your new light
