Anemone crab question

They are the same thing, and no they do not require an anemone.. however it would be best to provide them with some kind of host like a ricordea mushroom.

I've got 3 small ones that live in random places... Under a cup coral, under frag plugs, back side of rocks, filter intake. Always come out for feeding time looking to be spot fed.

I've had one since my cycle was complete pretty much. I didn't add a coral for 6 months.

It seemed fine. I wouldn't see it often, but I would see it sometimes and knew it was alive.

They are fine without anemones in aquariums.I personally think they do a bit better with them though TBH but that is just my opinion :)
