anemone dying?

my anemone is reducing in size and when left without food for few days will become hungry. Put anything into its tentacles, it will take it and almost immediately ate the food. It has been bleached (become white for few months already). Is it dying and causing high nitrates? The tank spike to something like 140ppm because of some kent marine plankton stuff. Have tried changing water 25% for 3 times and nitrates is around 40ppm now. My tank has no smell at the moment.

Any advise, especially on the nitrates.:hammerhea :hammerhea :barf:

just read the mrsparky on tank parameters and having a rbta; your nitrates are most likely too high and since your anemone is bleached, I would say it is dying. Mine started to bleach when I realized my water parameters were poor. It has since recovered and doing fine.
