Anemone eating Flame Angel?

My larger Flame angel is MIA and the only thing I can think of is I just put in a baseball size white long tentacle (if there is a name for this please let me know) anemone about a week ago. I don't see this being possible, could it be?

Super not likely... Unless your flame angel was almost dead to start with.

I've seen carpet anemones grab fish and eat them, but they are about 1000x stickier and equally as much more toxic sting.

Long tentacles and Bubbles are not likely eating your fish unless it was already dead and your powerhead blew it into it or something.

'If your anemone is white than it is bleached, no anemone should be white, not even condy's." ??

I'm still fairly new to the hobby but my anemone is white and I've seen several other white ones in different pet stores

I think I will keep him well fed, just in case

In my mind, missing fish + anemone in tank = anemone ate it. Not a hard and fast rule, but certainly with carpets that's the case.

Is yours white with pink or blue accents? Google Condylactis gigantea and see if that's what you have.

What color is the foot of this anemone and would you please post a picture. Long white tentacles could be any number of different anemones.

The foot is pink. I'll google Condy. I'm scared it will eat more fish. It messed up a nice hammer and it had a cardinal in it today until I rescued it.

So do you have a picture of this anemone? There is a Haitian anemone that is a fish eater and we need a picture for ID

Just because you seen other's that are white doesnt mean they are healthy. Alot of anemones come into pet stores bleached. But with given proper light and food they can regain their color.

As for bta's eating a healthy fish the chance's are very slim, a healthy fish can escape a bta's sting.

How big of a cuc do you have? If your fish died a cuc can eat it all within a day.

But the way your describing the anemone going after fish i doubt it is a bta.
