anemone feeding ?

raw shrimp would be better. Think of it this way...Do they eat cooked food in the wild? Of course, I don't know if they even eat shrimp in the wild but if they did it wouldn't be cooked.

i dont have a large variety here in puerto rico i mean food to feed nems my lfs only has misys just thought i can pick something up in the seafood section for them

They can eat almost any marine fish at your local market. Just feed it to them raw. I buy the best quality fresh seafood, cut into serving protions and freeze. At feeding time I just thaw w/a little selcon and serve.

Is Selcon really recommended? is it 100 percent safe for the tank and fish like it says?? JW

thanks

It is definately recomended to boost nutritional value, selcon or Zoe. Right now I am trying out Kent's Zoecon. I have been using these to feed my anemones for years.

I feed 1//4 capsule Acai berry powder mixed in a 1/2 cup water with 6 frozen scallops 2 formula reef cubes i boil water with a teapot water heater chop the scallops mix it til cool and use chopsticks to put the food near the center and stay around because my clarki's will steal the f=ood

From my experience: Feed silversides if at all possible. Also from experience, don't feed cooked anything. Having seen bad reactions in my own corals using 'pre-cooked' or cooked food, I don't do it. Whatever you decide, go with Selcon, its an awesome nutritional boost.
