Anemone has an issue

My anemone seems to have an issue. If look at the upper left portion, it appears there is a piece bitten off. Has anyone had anything like this before? I'm also thinking it may be a funny angle. The anemone found a happy home on the rock, with it's base in a hole. It can and has gone completely in the hole at times. Perhaps I am looking at this wrong?

Any ideas?

Can't be sure from the picture but it might be getting ready to split.

Has it been in this location for awhile?

It was not like this yesterday. In fact, it gobbled half a silverside last night.

Thats what my frilly mushrooms look like before/while they are splitting. Like a white puffy stringy substance near the split.
