Hi guys
I have a 16G nano tank which has been running for 2 months now.
i started the tank with water from my Red Sea 250 which has been up and running well for the past 3 years.

soon after i got my nano tank up and running i acquired this anemone from the local store...

In the last month i have had to be away from home alot resulting in nitrates rising...
The anemone hasnt moved since added to the tank and its health has gone up and down. Im glad to report my nitrates are now perfect but nem still not looking 100%

The reason you are having varying success with your nem is that your tank is still in the process of stabilization. It is done cycling, but there are still quite a bit of chemistry going on with your tank including pH swings, phosphate swings and various other "blooms" and "cycles". Because of these things your nem is responding. You will likely get some people that tell you your tank is too young and to take the nem back to the LFS. That is your call, personally I would use this as a learning opportunity to watch your tank like a hawk and use your nem like miners use a canary.

Hope this helps

I would remove it now and take it back, but im away from home a bit and my GF wont like that idea but will see how it looks when i get back and make a decision
