Anemone ID challenge

My friend got this as a hitch hiker and it has stayed the size of a half dollar for 2 years. It seems to like lower flow so far. When open the oral area where there are no tentacles is quite large, dunno if that helps.
Dark red with neon green tips.
It's walking around my tank right now so I can't tell yet if it likes sand or rock.
What is it?

I guess I should move it out of the DT until sure then.
It has a really smooth oral disk area - pics of majano I have seen have these kind of radial grooves. Hoping this isn't a nasty - it's quite nice looking.

so if it didn't reproduce in my friend's tank for 2 years, is it because it was immature or because of ULNL?
Trying to understand how this could have been innocuous for so long if it is majano

I don't think it's a majano.if it was you would have a TON of them.

I agree but I think any other anemone other than a Majano would've grown in 2 years.

I'd really like to know what this is too

it's almost 2 inches in diameter. he never fed it so maybe that's why it stayed small?

I don't know, that color is pretty sweet. Even if it is a majano I would be tempted to toss it in a 20 gallon tank, let it take over and then get some clowns in there.

But then, I also think an aiptasia tank full of bhergis would be kinda cool.

wish I could get the true colors and not so blurry. Anyway, it's digging the sand but is clearly still acclimating.

I read somewhere that majano is actually a catch-all term for a number of species of small invasive anemone. is this true?

I found an article that describes pretty much the anemone I have, and further states that in an ULNS they don't multiply. This nem came from an ULNS and my DT is certainly not, so it might suddenly decide to spread if it is indeed majano.

It's happily in a 5g QT tank where I will feed it and see if it spreads This is going to be fun
